COVINGTON, Ky. - The Covington Police are stepping up the way they protect you—and they're doing it with a change to their uniforms.
A tiny new addition is capturing everything in the line of duty after a yearlong experiment. They're approaching a new way to keep an eye on crime.
They put small cameras on 20 officers. The result? They wanted every patrol officer to have one. Now, 60 are wearing them on the streets.
“The officer will clip it generally on their lapel or their pen pocket, like this, and when need be they will activate it by pushing the button on the very top,” said Lt. Col. Spike Jones, with the Covington Police
